    Is being sexist or homophobic or racist worse?
    You could blame toxic masculinity or religion for alot of the hate. You can also see some dismissal from races towards the LGBTQ community about their struggle.     If they're of Dominican descent and born/naturalized to America I believe they would be African American, but if they're from and live in the Dominican Republic (or Haiti or any non-US island for that matter) then they wouldn't be African American. Many of the islands in that area were populated by the African slave trade so they would be of African descent in some form. As far as it being racist? Maybe?
