Disney knew about Gunn's pedophile jokes, he apologized for them when he was first hired and then made two movies for them without incident.

Then Roseanne got fired and people wanted revenge I guess?

I guess that's my issue, Disney has already vetted this guy and then decided to drop him over stuff they already knew about because it was suddenly bad p.r.

And obviously his pedo jokes were gross and if he had permanently lost his spot at Disney because of it, it would still feel crappy but it would make sense. It just sticks in a lot of people's collective craws that the goal was not "let's expose and get rid of a pedophile" it was "get even with Hollywood because Roseanne lost her job."
