I think I could easily find time for it, except HNMs. Looking back those were the real killers

I definitely attended some 12-man Dynamis runs back in the day, but when it was first introduced everyone wanted to do it. Same with ENMs, Bahamut, Limbus, and Einherjar, we definitely had instances where people would get turned away because so many were trying to sign up.
Those were the days, honestly.

Personally with new FFXI I was having fun trying to max out every possible pet in the Mog Garden.

The only reason you don't see people taking 45 to dynamis-d now is there is no playerbase and it's gated to 18man
They should have just made XIV an updated version of XI.
Maybe they'll give us an XI remake.
I'd play a Dragon's Dogma-style offline FFXI for the rest of my life.

There's no competition in modern ffxi or FFXIV. Idk how either one survives
Maybe the competition in FFXIV is world firsts and casual players resubscribing on content patches makes it look more full than it actually is
Most popular games in the world currently are all about competition
I was never a fan of the competition aspect. Made people do ugly things for a video game.

People are dicks on them, but people are dicks everywhere
Stuff like Fortnite and Overwatch and the like I can more get behind because it's all about rounds and matches like an actual sport and it's over relatively quick. Competitive MMORPGs that require cooperative groups like linkshells are like petri dishes for growing feudal warring states.

ENM’s were the fucking worst. An hour of prep time for a two minute fight.
You didnt POS up the mountain like most normies?
And the devs were fucking surprised when people just started POS hacking to the top of the mountain. God damn retards.
