Something like 75% of billionaire wealth is held in publicly traded stocks and bonds and the like which are exceedingly simple to audit, and a bunch of the rest is in real estate and large privately held businesses which aren't much more difficult to assess.

Genuinely difficult to assess assets are a small fraction, and the idea that capital is going to flight en masse from revenue-generating assets like stocks into stuff like rare art or whatever to try to game around a 2% wealth tax is spurious.

Getting ready to decomm my boat next year, looking forward to cleaning out my shop for tools and whatnot. Got to do the same thing last time I decommed a unit but we just swapped out all our tools like a year ago, and not a goddamn thing is on the property list so it's fair game once we remove the CIWS.
