When I was in college my apartment had one of those dumb mechanical locks on it and the battery died and I had to call the 24/7 maintenance guy and he kept telling me over the phone I had to pay $100 because I “locked myself out” and we had a full blown argument about how retarded this was, eventually I just said fuck it I’ll pay it get over here. He shows up and sees it’s exactly how I explained it and goes “oh the battery died, nvm we won’t charge you for that since it’s not your fault” and I was all MOTHER FUCKER THATS WHAT I SPENT 10 MINUTES TELLING YOU ON THE PHONE BUT YOU DIDN’T LISTEN. I still get a little heated thinking about it, might be on my top ten list on angriest moments in life.
