I'm not going to read all the shit from last night, and I'm not up on all the anti-fa/Proud Boys shit.

What I can say is these are both groups of idiots attacking each other. They are physically assaulting one another. Just because one side is white supremacists doesn't make the other side free from criminal charges.

I also have zero sympathy for said white supremacists getting attacked. Attacking them won't accomplish anything, just like talking to them won't accomplish anything. That doesn't mean it's not satisfying to see some racist fucks getting beat. If these two groups of idiots want to fight it out, let them do it somewhere deserted, not in populated areas. If someone from anti-fa gets charged with assault, that's their fault. Same goes for the Proud Boys.

Acting like one or the other is in the wrong is dumb. Proud Boys got attacked with a hammer they threw. Just cause they missed when they threw it doesn't make them the victim when they got hit back. Would you (you being whoever may argue anti-fa is in the wrong and Proud Boys are a victim) be cheering on the Proud Boys if the situation was the other way around? I'm sure a lot of the outraged people would be, even if you wouldn't.

I agree with this sensibility, though "criminal charge" should not always be a metric for justice. I also don't think they are equally as shit.
