I've made them at home. Need to season them like you would a beef patty, throw them on the grill. The texture is good and if you season them well they're not bad. You don't have the same taste as beef, but the texture is good and the seasoning will help.
I would not be surprised if they still contribute to heart disease or something.
I was under the impression they are less healthy than a regular burger. I thought it was just to cater to people who don't want to eat meat
I'll stick with black bean burgers when I'm not eating meat.
Looks like the are slightly lower calories, higher in fiber, but also higher in sodium. About the same amount of protein. Will depend on how you prepare them I think. This is versus 80/20 beef (which is what I use for burgers).
I also like black bean burgers. I got a good recipe from Blue Apron one time that I've used.
If you're against GMOs and shit, I think that may put a damper on these burgers. I believe one or the other uses some kind of soy-based thing that they genetically modified to help make the texture more like beef.
People are all up-in-arms against GMOs, but I don't see the problem at this point. saying we're going to mutate because they're modifying shit we eat is funny. That's not how shit works. Our food isn;t changing us on a genetic level as far as I know.
If you cut back on salting them you should be okay. Unless that article I saw takes into account actually seasoning the beef.
Unless you guys don't season your burger patties with is just ridiculous.
it is very rude of you guys to post while i am sleeping
It's inconsiderate to sleep
Mayonnaise is too spicy for most white people.
There are very few things I've eaten that were too spicy for me. They usually have to do with ghost peppers in some form.
You guys are some racist fucks.
no u
maybe
Elizabeth Warren is definitely racist too.
I looked up some spicy sauces I've tried to confirm. I have gotten through eating some ghost pepper sauces.
Saw there's something called a Carolina Reaper that is 4x hotter than a habanero. Sounds terrible.
