I looked up some spicy sauces I've tried to confirm. I have gotten through eating some ghost pepper sauces.

Saw there's something called a Carolina Reaper that is 4x hotter than a habanero. Sounds terrible.

I grow habaneros, Carolina reapers, Trinidad scorpions and bhut jolokia. I make hot sauce every fall.

I love spicy food and will try almost any hot sauce but I gotta say somewhere around scotch bonnet it just stops being enjoyable and more about how much you can tolerate imo, maybe if you are cooking those down in sauces might be alright.

An Indian dude I went to high school introduced me to Indian levels of hot & spicy where all my previous life experiences had been with Mexican hot & spicy stuff and it was like my tongue hopped on the carpet with Aladdin & Jasmine to a whole new world.

the bar is a lot lower for me anyway, from a taste perspective, and when tolerance involves awful abdominal pain, bleeding, and burning diarrhea, spicy things lose their appeal entirely.

i can do some mildly spicy stuff, but very much in the realm of tame for anyone who actually likes spicy food.

alas.i feel like if i took the time to dive down the rabbit hole of spicy food i'd actually really enjoy it, once i acclimated a bit, but it's just not worth it.
