There's a huge stigma to sex workers in general. They're treated as less than and rarely do they ever move on because they can't. Someone will recognize them at their new place of employment and contact management or management won't hire them. But these same people will watch their work but treat them like they're subhuman. The cognitive dissonance is amazing.

I think today things have definitely improved for porn stars over what they were just five years ago. They can sell their stuff independently on premium snapchats and myfans and many have found a second career on Twitch and other streaming platforms. And i think they also supplement income with merchandising like flesh lights or appearances at strip clubs. Many already established stars are already at a point where they don’t have to do any scenes unless they want to.

Obviously that isn’t as easy for someone just getting started, but at least it’s getting better.
