Honestly I wouldn't be against a US national ID.

CAC cards suck for security though. Too many pepegas keep leaving their CACs (Read; cocks) in the computers when they walked away.

Isn’t it weird that you need an ID to apply for welfare and food stamps, yet in the same breath say Voter ID laws disenfranchise the low income minority population?

I’ve suggested this before, but I think the country would be much better off going to a nationwide DoD CAC card style ID.

Because not everyone has easy access to the things you need to get an ID, like a birth certificate, and because the places to get an ID are difficult unless you live in suburbs or a city.

Its about making it so hard you give up voting this election, even if you end up voting eventually. Its ablit depressing turnout, not making it impossible.

Also, they probably still have social security numbers. I'd imagine that takes you pretty far as far as government services go.
