A close friend of my wife found out last year her husband (teacher) was a pedo and was molesting her family members, it was in the news and everything I think I even linked it here, she left his ass immediately like any sane person would

My love is unconditional. I'd support them as best I could. It's not going to be my place to tell the world they didn't do it some shit. I'd probably ask them to come right out with it an take the punishment and if that didn't take, I'd still be there, at the very least in silence to let them know I fucking care.

Idk if I call silently showing up to their court trial, "support," but if what you're describing is asking the criminal to confess, and if they didnt, you're just going to be there so theres someone to cry when he gets sentenced, then yeah maybe I'd "support" my family member in a rape case but that "support" is me going "shut the fuck up and turn yourself in or I'll be there in court shaking my head with the prosecution."
