A lot of this would be invisible to the average worker though. Employers replace their share of medical insurance premiums with a new employer-side payroll tax, employees replace their share of medical insurance premiums with a new employee side payroll tax.

I like the pretty colors
And those of us with no premiums get the boot in the butt. Is it written in their plans that employers would be required to do this or are we just assuming their generosity?
Any way you dice it cost goes up for the average working American and down for sick, elderly and child bearing. Not saying there is anything wrong with that but it's the proper way to look at it
M4A is a huge expenditure and the government generally over spends by somewhere between 30-40% because they are generally terrible at everything
Bernie's "suggested funding mechanisms" include an employer side payroll tax (obviously not optional) but it's not in the legislative language right now. Warren is currently coming up with a funding mechanism for M4A, and I would be absolutely shocked if an employer-side payroll tax wasn't a portion of it.

I feel as though we may be putting the egg before the chicken on whether M4A would work here if the specifics are still on napkins.
the dishonest language is still what is most striking to me though, basically if you go to the doctor 10 times a year on the average health plan, m4a will be cheaper for you. not a fan
Plenty of people have employer sponsored insurance that is very expensive whether you use it or not.

most of these people are the middle class. if you take your average middle class 20-50 year old they will be paying more in taxes for m4a than they will be premiums. the average person does not go to the doctor 10 times a year to make up for the difference of the more expensive tax.
do the sick/elderly/childbearing get cheaper care? yeah. but when you're weighing 600k yearly medical bills for someone with cancer in a statistic you have to look at the whole picture. dunno if that's how it should be, not trying to be heartless, i'm not convinced the government can handle m4a well without over spending.
saying m4a will be cheaper for the average american is dishonest. it's like saying combined me and bill gates make $600 a second
but liz warren is a dishonest gal, so i'm not entirely surprised.
I contribute over $150/month, on top of my companies like $330ish and get shit healthcare, and I mean shit. That's almost $500/month for healthcare I refuse to use unless I have cancer. Most americans are like this, or worse, and yes worse also include that unlimited wait time for things people can never get diagnosed or checked out because of the out of pocket costs to their insurance.

Like, upwards of almost 6k a year for literal "only leave me destitute if I get cancer, not bankrupt" insurance.

might be better might be worse can't say i'm in a big hurry to put my healthcare in the hands of mitch mconnell or nancy pelosi though
also if you're single and healthy and paying that much i would opt out and pay out of pocket personally
