Should try a little sea salt and cracked pepper in your salad. Really spruces it up once in awhile.

I recently refied my house.
Got an escrow check in the mail from the old lender for $4k.
Got a bill from property tax collector for $4k.
First bill is due in Dec.
I called new lender to ask if they were already processing the payment and do I either a. write a check to the lender for the escrow or b. write a check directly to the tax collector.
They said I already have $3k in escrow set aside from the refi and they will be paying it.
Statement verifies yes I have 3k in escrow already (must have been calculated when doing the refi), but everything I remember says I need to make the first years tax payment and escrow would start next year.
