    One of the ideas was expanded athletic programs. The idea was to add activities to the end of the day to prevent teachers from working longer hours unless they volunteer. Wouldn't gain anything midday it would seem.

    My last two years, I was on campus until 4pm minimum. Half of that time was playing warcraft 2 with 7 others.

    Went to boarding school from the of Primary 6 to Junior Secondary 3 (4th to 8th grade is probably the American equivalent) before doing high school in the US, and I gotta say, keeping kids until 6 just doesn't sound nuts to me.
