Basically they did a mini event during season 2 where they had loot crates with 1 of 24 epic/legendary skins. You could earn enough crowns to buy 2 out of 24 and you had the option to shill for crates for 700 apex coins a piece. There was no way to guarantee the skin you wanted and on top of that if you got all 24 you had the opportunity to buy a heirloom (Rarer than legendary) axe for Bloodhound.

Turns out to buy all of it would run you $170 (incl the 2 free chests) which got people mad. So they reworked it so people could just buy the exact skin they wanted for 1800 coins (Which is on par for other shooters like fortnite) on certain days and specified what day during the event each skin would be available.

This didn't solve the base problem (Its an event shilling loot boxes you could only earn two of them) so the playerbase raged more and a respawn dev shit on someone so now all hell broke loose.

Though EA is shit, gamers getting upset over cosmetics will never ceases to amaze me. I'm here for devs shitting on people though.

Was about to buy a Valve Index, but I'd need a new video card. Not sure I can justify dropping 1.5 in one go for videojuegos.

TBH I'd wait and see what's going on with GFX cards because the jump from the 1080ti to the 2080ti (Or Super 2080 idk which is better) doesn't seem remotely as good as the 980ti to 1080ti.

I want to build a new system but my stuff is still really nice (1080Ti and 6600k) so I can't justify it even tho I got a kickass monitor that can push out extra frames.
