4-year technical/trade schools should be free as well and better advertised.

My dad was a general carpenter for 40 years. The world of carpentry these days isn't as easy as just knowing how to use a hammer. You need education to be anything but a grunt laborer as well.

somewhat relevant and kinda cool: i'm going to school and not paying a dime because the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation is picking up anything the state of Minnesota isn't. Minor silver lining to my debilitating Crohn's.


i'm doing a 2 year cyber information security program (but tbh i'll probably stretch it to 3 years). hopefully by the end i can leverage it into a decently-paying cybersecurity consultant gig where i can set my own hours and make bank.

He ain't wrong. Ive seen so many freshman and sophomore students get bumped up that .6% or something to keep them from failing out of school or specific program just to keep the tuition coming. This was less egregious in the high end classes for my biology bachelors, but still happened nonetheless. You see a lot of "wtf you really gonna let that slide?" when you work for the school lol

My masters tuition cost 15k gbp in the UK. That's less than 19k USD. Probably won't last what with conservatives gutting education and brexit.
