I can't speak for everyone, but I was not one of the people that embraced it. I think most people (in general) liked the ideas, but saw issues with execution and the lack of feasibility.

Getting as many kids into STEM as possible is super important to me. Kids is exactly what it sounds like. Kids. I don't have the patience to be an actual teacher, but I do have the skills to make specific activities fun. Every kid that's ever been in the workshop has been a great to work with.

Scratch is made specifically for kids and transitions well into several of the python for kids deals. You make the scratch end super fun and make a transition into super fun basic python problems.

My daughter did her science project on scratch.

Inslee is honestly a hilarious dude. Riding on the backs of shit he didn't do at all. Washington has the highest % of renewable energy in the nation because of dams built in the 1920s and he brags about that statistic but misleads people into thinking it's because of some huge solar and wind initiative. Doesn't give tax breaks or federal funds to the dams, they aren't even recognized as a renewable or zero emission source.
