I watched the fyre festival documentary awhile back on Netflix and they had to pass actual laws after that debacle so that instathots had to disclose they were being paid to advertise. Shit was pretty hilarious watching spoiled rich kids get conned.

I don't know if it's the same law(s), but twitch streamers also have to disclose sponsored content and ownership of stuff because there were some streamers making bank on CS:GO skin gambling. Telling their viewers which sites to use when they were partial owners.

Companies like Juul tout it as a means to reduce carcinogens for current-smokers and help them transition off cigarettes, but if that were the only thing to it then there would be no reason for all the flavors. Cigarettes didn't/don't have the same draw they used to as the "cool" thing to do, so they came up with this shit instead.

To your point about cigarettes not be banned, they also don't come in cotton candy and purple drank flavors.

Flavors bring in the younger crowd, even if the current-smokers also enjoy them. I made the reference last time this was brought up, cigarettes used to come in cherry, strawberry, etc. and they were outlawed because they saw an uptick in kids under 18 smoking.
