If Bart didn't know Sigurd was his brother he might actually have a learning disability.

Maria, Rico, Chu Chu, and Emeralda all stop being interesting the moment they join your team. The most interesting thing about Billy is his dad.

The game peaks when Id breaks the Yggdrasil and it's all a slow climb down from there.

III was intense but I remember IV being perfect.

I'm about to play XV seriously, never put more than a couple hours into it before. Do I need any of this DLC stuff first?

Everyone saying IV was good and VII is just nostalgia needs to go back and play it. The amount of asspulls in IV is ridiculous and there is literally no growth at all besides Kain regretting his heel turn. VII actually takes you through a complete character arc with Cloud and Tifa.

VII had the main character go tranny in between squats session with meathead Dom Mazzetti lift bros in an attempt to seduce a pimp and if that's not what you want out of a videogame i want you to take a step back and literally fuck your own face
Gred over here conflating complexity with depth. The characters in IV weren't complex, but they fucking grew.
Did you not see Rydia learn to use fire spells again??

MGSV is the best open world rpg ever made

They add a lot more depth to the story. Comrade is the only one you don't really need because it doesn't really add anything other than a character of your own into the world. Which is pretty dope though because your own character than joins the party for an end game side quest.
