Apparently they fined him 200k for conduct detrimental to the team, and in doing so, some how voided his 30mil guaranteed. That's why he's asking to be released.

I legit thought thought this guy was the best receiver since Moss/Rice, 2 seasons ago. Now, this guy isn't worth any talent he has to bring in-house. I see the Pats doing a "take 1 shit we don't OK and everything is voided" type contact, but that is it. Maybe the Saints if they want to REALLY push for a proper Brees send-off. No other team should value this guy high enough to bring along his baggage.

so apparently even ab's signing bonus was voided 'cause it was tied to showing up to a percentage of practices. the raiders have not given ab a single dollar as of this moment and the guarantee void doesn't hurt their cap either.
