I really wanted the air supply equipment fix to fail at the end of ep3 and the Ferguson character be poised as the de-facto leader to take them outside

After a strong pair of episodes to open the season, I thought they might cool things down and settle in on Severance, but nope! A nice change of pace over the slog that was the majority of Silo S2. That wait for this season was ridiculous, but at least they're not disappointing with it.

With the caveat that I don't read fan theories and avoid the severance subreddit and articles, I've had 2 things I can't get out of my head.

1. Irv is either unsevered or communicates openly with his outtie. I think the phone booth call confirms this. He knew Helena was not only her outtie, but was an Eagan. He knew Seth's name (I know Helena said it first, but Irv clearly knew it).
2. Helena wants to kill Lumon.

Thought it was interesting that Milchick had the reaction he had to Helena at the fire when he knew Helena was the one making fun of her own family.

Also found it interesting that seemingly everyone is hiding huge huge secrets except for Dylan.

Overall, fucking insane.

Watched this episode again last night. That last scene with Turturro was one of those "moments" for television for me. Red Wedding kinda moment. Going from ruthless vengeance to paternal compassion in a snap. Give Turturro his Emmy. This line is going to live in my head for awhile.

That bit drove home the premise of the show far better than anything else so far. This episode felt like the best of season 1.
