That's what I'm saying! The show is fine, but it isn't exactly great and they are slow dripping any plot as if they want this show to go 6 seasons and a movie.

It's not a slow build. It's just plain slow where [I]clearly[/] telegraphed plot points take 5 episodes to come around and play out because it's just slow. It's still interesting, but it's pacing makes me wish I didn't start this show for another 5 years when there's another season or two and the show is actually answering questions and moving along.

I feel like the season/finale answered a lot of questions, it just wasn't being direct in how they answered them which is par for the course in the show

I don't think I'd ever describe the show as "slow". That's an insane take to me. Not here to defend the show though...finale was problematic for me.

1. John Turturro had some of the best acting in television this season, and for the 2nd straight season, he has next to no progression. His only purpose was to out Helena. Theme of the season seemed to be innie v outie. At worst, his innie and outie appear in lockstep. We still know absolutely nothing about him and he may be the most interesting in the group.

2. Seth's buildup of discontent. They built it up way too much this season, only to delay the payoff. Could have just shown the scene of he and roboKier and then carried the Milchick antimosity to next season.

3. Mark S/Gemma/Ms Casey. Loved the plan they had. Hated the execution. Everyone there, except possibly Ms Casey knew the stakes. Mark and Gemma just took their sweet ass time moving around the floors. Was very frustrating.

4. Helly R. - She knows she's dead and doesn't really have an option. She would have pushed Mark through that door herself. I don't think the decisions made reflected how the characters were built. I'm also skeptical that was Helly and not Helena.

5. Harmony invented severance. Had a whole episode about her backstory. The ran far fucking away when she saw a tall guy with Helena about 4 episodes ago. Finale did fuck all with it.

The good.

Dylan and Dylan. Loved that scene, one of my favorites of the season.

Patricia Arquette and Jen Tullock. Loved every scene they had together.

If anything it moves too fast and doesn't really give the weekly big reveal time to breath.

The show throws so much info and plot advancement at you in every episode. The thing is you have to pay attention to everything goin on. I did read how some people percieve things as slow when its not spelt out or in your face. My wife could not get into the first season, she said it was too slow and lost interest and I was like what? there is so much happening here lol.

The pacing is just all over the place, they don't seem to know what story they want to tell, season 2 was frustrating and mid at best after a truly excellent first season

It's slow because they tease and foreshadow so much and heavy and don't follow through on the thread or hint for half a season, or they don't do it at all cause it trods so slowly.

Irving and his outie come to mind, Helena pretending to be Helly was foreshadowed heavily in episode 1 but wasn't resolved until episode 4, etc.

The only twist that's actually surprised me and I didn't see coming was Harmony being the creator of Severance; but that came out of nowhere and felt unearned. Mark's sister going to Harmony after she lied about who she was to both siblings, and almost stealing her child, seemed forced. Especially when as far as she knows she's involved with the kidnapping of Gemma.

It's not a bad show, it's just not great pacing when you see plot points coming a mile away and they aren't expanded for many episodes, and when they finally are it's just a half explanation with more questions added on top. I enjoyed my questions and pondering more during the first two seasons of Westworld.
