If you look at endgame as a whole, which you're incapable of doing, it is far more effected by bots now than it ever was in the 75 era. People don't even do endgame without react which is millions of times worse than claim botting. Shit is playing the game for you.

Botting sparks arguably isn't meaningful to the ordinary player. Botting the same content in direct competition to you, is. Thought that I had already made that perfectly clear, but oh well.

I don't use react, and the majority of people I associate with don't either. I would dispute the assertion that it is some GearSwap level of prevalence in the community or even as accepted. Little different from the traditional stun botting that has always existed up until Delve became easy or even still is for Zerde, anyway. Using something like Anchor or Tako is by far a bigger deal, and it isn't even a bot. Tako is likely far more prevalent too.

There are bots for all endgame content currently even discluding react. Multiple bots that multiple people have. The windower team publicly posts a voidwatch bot.

As said that you've ignored, tons of legit players claimed things all the time.

Most people consider that like, several years after the line they draw for "classic" FFXI.

Most people Ive seen consider "Classic" FFXI to be CoP era.

Which was before most of those fixes, as the majority of fixes came out during late ToAU and early WotG.

This eliminates your duping item concerns then considering that was largely through salvage. Mob timers were also introduced within the COP era to combat instant claiming so bottling became much less effective.

At 75 bots were 1000 times worse for impacting the quality of your gameplay than now. Claiming all sorts of lottery or time spawn NMs was a major inconvenience. Wasted time from bots is worse than any time sink.

At 99 bots are no longer something you need to compete with to obtain gear or to progress. They just farm rather inconsequential mobs for a shield, XP/CP, automate something rather mundane like Oseem, allow low-manning content with mules, or go after some other gil fountain that doesn't really matter.

Botting in 75 era meant the same 1-2 LS per server staking monopoly claim on kings. Botting today is relegated to automating victimless and tedious grinding.

That's fair and I'd accept that argument if it made sense, if you decided to not bot now a days you would be way farther behind than the people who didn't do HNM because of bots. Not to mention towards the end you could get everything except ridill from einherjar.

Doubting anyone in this thread got 2100 CP legit or does anything legit for that matter. Windower approved add-ons like voidwatch, craft, pouches, all of it circumvents game mechanics that would take your entire day.
