Einherjar was fundamentally easier than Kings precisely because there's no other groups there to play Yellow is Fair Game. You could develop secondary plays around wiping.

You don't need to make competition between players to weed out casuals. Difficulty does that.

Also not the only purpose in zero sum. Preserving rarity is good even if the only people trying for the item are the 1% of the player base already.

I don't disagree but some of the items are definitely best in slot for what they do so what I said still stands, it's also not misleading as the use for a lot of them is not bizarre. A lot of them, not all, would still be in most modern TP or WS sets.

Yeah but they changed it now so it's a few waves of mobs instead of adds and then the dragon respwans (as I understand it) and you get a different form or currency for just being present that is used to buy some of the best gear in the game.

So it's pretty popular right now and since it's gated to 80 of the currency a day with the best items being 1200-1500, it dies in about 12 seconds and will probably continue to do so, even on low pop servers
