My life could literally end at any time, I think as long as they’re enjoying it it’s not hard to see why people invest into it. Basically every live service game is a flight risk at this point too, so it’s not like it’s exclusive to private servers.

oh, i posted this in the nasomi thread.

my current theory is godmode is full of shit as if he would have gotten a c&d nasomi would have definitely gotten one too.

Well - part of it has to do with the fact that Nasomi is self-hosted (meaning they would need to C&D Nas directly) while Eden is hosted on a third-party service that will receive the C&D and likely just eject Eden as a customer to cover its own ass.

That said... I think the C&D is likely a fake. I think Godmode is doing the right thing by retreating until he knows more but the C&D seems -likely- fake to me based on how it was written. I think another banned player has decided to cause some trouble, which has happened before this as well.

80% of the posts are between 4 posters, 3 of which think classic is dumb, and the other is a constant trollfest. The best argument presented in favor of Classic is Gred's "I want to be the very best, like no one ever will be allowed to because zerosum loot systems mean fuck everyone but me."

Nexon's FFXI-R? The last significant update that I know of, was a mention during a shareholder meeting update back in March of 2019.
Nexon has an earnings presentation coming up 2/13/2020, maybe they'll mention what projects are still alive (but I kinda doubt it).

it's just based on XI's IP. they have said several times it has nothing do with development of the MMORPG that is currently being played.

Yah I completely understand the hate of gacha games, but some of them are genuinely fun. We could go on and on about Lootboxes and Gachas and such but I'd still say I'd look forward to it.
