WotG was better than I remembered. All of it has much better flow and pacing now that you can just go straight through the story without waiting 3 months for the next patch.

Thinking about it I seem to remember less and less of the XI story after CoP, you'd think the more recent stuff would be fresher but...

ToAU ended in Alex vs Odin, WotG has some time fuckery going on but I think the big bad just tripped and died in the end or something. Uh, I'm pretty sure you fought a Moogle at some point in the add ons... I don't think I can recall anything from SoA, and Rhapsodies finally found a use for that Siren model SE had knocking around.

SoA had the second best story after CoP imo. I'll never forget the Oh shit! moment when you find out who the final baddie is going to be.

I was supposed to be going to Labyrinth of Onzozo for a quest and I brainfarted and went to Maze of Shakrami instead. Argus just chilling. Got the peacock amulet drop. lol

Campaign battles at ivl 119 with trusts are so cracked. You kill the entire wave in like 1 minute and have to wait like 15 minutes for the reinforcements or general to arrive. If another wave starts the clock keeps rolling. Just waiting like 45 minutes for the battle to end, spending 40 of those minutes just standing there waiting.

yes. besieged is now adjusted to level 119 and definitely is at least slightly more interesting, but still pretty laughable imo

Doing this playthrough of Rhapsodies alongside the earlier missions is novel, I’ll give it that. Definitely worth it for the quality of life buffs. That said from a story perspective it makes things very disjointed and hard to follow and I would not recommend this way for a new player. There’s so much that is either spoiled or kinda brushed off thru the Rhapsodies missions, that your character shouldn’t know yet as a newbie. Like, the WOTG twist is spoiled like immediately once you have your first WOTG/Rhapsodies crossover lol

I finished all the Abyssea bosses last night, gotta do the Caturae now so I can get to Shinryu. I only started doing this because I'm building a Twashtar and FUCK trying to proc things for drops without the abyssite of discernment.

After Abyssea the only things I'll have left are The Voracious Resurgence and the 3 add-on scenarios in terms of story. I think maybe there's cutscenes after beating ADL and Diabolos Nox? But other than that I'll be done with all the story stuff, unless I want to try doing all the quests in the game.

Once, the ten times thing is only if you want to free Luzaf but I don’t believe it has any actual reward other than a couple cutscenes

limbus update notes out today. they say you can enter solo

temenos to upgrade relic armor, appolyon to upgrade artifact armor, which is good, because i only care about upgrading artifact armor, and appolyon has always been the superior zone

For what it’s worth people still debating Mog bonanza weapons. I went with Yagyu Darkblade for my NIN. Now my NIN is already master level and I have 119 kikoku so I am used to soloing a lot of stuff with trusts anyway but the ability to give your trusts shadows (it DOES work in the offhand) is just nuts. Been soloing Ambuscade and high tier battlefields with on normal before picking this up but now I can do normal quite easily and some of them on difficult.

I looked it up. Your party members get 2 less shadows but yeah that is pretty nuts. If you have some Fast Cast or -spell recast gear you should be able to keep shadows up on trusts full time. Are some AoE spells still enough to wipe trusts through?
