You have to be somewhat selective on your trust selections. For me on NIN, migawari protects me from anything that might get thru shadows to one shot. Amchuchu can tank a lot of magic damage easily as a RUN, and Valienaral is judicious with Rampart for mitigation. They usually don’t get one-shot by anything unless they are low HP to begin with. A quick utsusemi San or Ni (Ichi still too slow) can give that OH SHIT emergency shadows so the healer can top them off. And also, Koro Moru will spam phalanx 2 on the tank which is incredibly useful.

Unrelated I tried booting up on my laptop and I had such an old version that PlayOnline refused to launch because it kept looking to authenticate TetraMaster files which has been gone for…eight years or more at this point? Had to completely uninstall and redownload to get around it lol

New to me because I’ve been away so long but I guess to stop the people trolling and intentionally spike flailing the domain invasion dragons, they were patched so if you take hate from behind instead of triggering flail it warps you out of the battlefield and you lose all your rewards lmao

however i did attempt and succeed to solo an omen miniboss for the first time yesterday on my thf (glassy craver which im told is the worst one spawned)

wonder how feasible it might be to solo Fu on my thf before my drk gets up to speed. i gave it a whirl yesterday after defeating craver and survived until 75% but i had berserk up and WEWPS

What was the reason BG wiki got spun off anyway? For some reason I'm thinking privacy concerns but that's a more recent wiki issue, pretty sure. Anyone remember the impetus for that whole endeavor?

I think the original wiki stopped being updated around the time Adoulin released and BG Wiki picked up from there on out but I could be wrong

I’ve been playing more of the Voracious Resurgence story and I’ve reached the Aht Urghan arc and things are finally picking up and becoming interesting. I’m loving all the callbacks to the Treasures main story, I felt like Rhapsodies really kinda skimped on doing a good epilogue to that and Voracious is really doing a good job. Had a lot of fun when the story took me to the old Khimaira camp island. I know I could have used a mount but decided to run the gauntlet for old times sake. Made it without aggroing any imps or soulflayers. Still got it.

I feel really sub-par in everything I do, which is partly because of gear and partly because I don't really understand Lua. I know I'm trying to catch up on over 10 years of content but it's still kind of deflating every time I have to be carried through something because I can barely contribute with RDM or THF and my WAR doesn't even have a full TP set yet.

I feel like all mages are in a spot cause all you need is damage and heals, and everything else seems superfluous. Are people still cycling debuffs even? Every mage just seems like a slower DPS, unless they can heal in which case they're the human healer instead of the NPC trust healer.

If you need to upgrade your AF and relic to 119 now is a good time with the high tier battlefield and KSNM campaign giving extra rem’s tales and mats. And the omen campaign too for extra job cards.

Have you run thru Ambuscade? Just a few runs will get you a very good NQ starter set of 119 gear and you can upgrade them easily enough with a handful more runs.

I’m kinda stuck trying to upgrade empy because the items only drop from Vagary and people really don’t seem to do it unless there is a Vagary campaign ongoing.

you can get vagary drops from the macrocosmic orb campaign that’s running right now. can’t remember which battlefield but one of them drops it

I do have people I do Vagary, Dynamis, and Omen with, so I have a couple +3 pieces of Relic and AF gear and some BiS accessories, but I haven't been able to find any Sortie or Odyssey teams that would take me. From my understanding RDM isn't really in demand for Odyssey either so that means more jobs I gotta level.

It drops the etched memories but not the vagary boss items. At least I don’t think. Haven’t seen any on my runs and I’ve been doing Very Difficult.
