My deal is really that Asura is full of mercs, and all of the people in the shells I'm in already have their own static groups for doing stuff like Sortie and Odyssey. So the only option is to pay for runs or find pick-up groups, and I'm not willing to do either.

Phoenix now the 4th server to close to new players because of congestion issues due to overcrowding.

New update is June 10th. Due to success in Vanabout, the A.M.A.N. Trove Gillionaire campaign will be added to ongoing campaigns.

It’s really good low level boots but if all your jobs are 99 or close to it not really needed. Really good for new characters though.

I came back. I am truly insane.

Seriously, it was completely painless. I did it the other day. I stopped playing in 2018. I never deleted my character so it was like it was frozen in time. Kinda spooky really. There was even a nation buff still active. I was amazed at how much stuff I was able to get with the event still going on. My original server is Phoenix btw.^^

Ahhhhh you came back right at the end of the returner campaign, it’s back to normie life now. Well, normie life in 2026 FFXI is still a vast improvement on what it used to be.

I did more of the Voracious Resurgence story and it took me into some Seekers of Adoulin zones that I only cursory explored when that expansion was new in like 2013 and whatever Rhapsodies required of me in like 2016. Areas I don’t have deep nostalgia for. Kinda felt like playing a new game running around exploring the game new (old) zones. But now I gotta make a prime weapon so I can continue Voracious Resurgence story I do appreciate how they are giving so much lore to Odin and Valhalla and confirming a lot of theorized things about the Relic weapons that many of us long suspected. Now that almost everyone has at least one relic weapon I guess SE felt comfortable expanding on their story finally.

I still was able to do quite a bit with the bonuses.

I managed to do two Mars orbs. I didn't get any of the really nice stuff unfortunately but I did get a lot of good upgrade materials, that I didn't need, but still ad up to millions. If they sell that is.

I finished all Adamantoise family cheers and have a Great Adamantoise as a permanent member of my garden. I need 12 more to have every cheer in the game.

I've just been logging in to do my garden but on weekends I'm gonna try and get a few Orthrus claws every day until I finish my Twashtar trial.
