After I get Ygnas, all I'll be missing is Monberaux (will take a while), Maat, Kukki-Chebukki, Margret, and Gilgamesh.
For mounts, I need Spectral Chair, Buffalo, Goobbue, Raaz, Adamantoise, Wivre, Byakko, and Phuabo.

Gameplay wise, main thing blocking me is Vagary and Dynamis-D, I'm not good enough to solo it on THF, no other jobs, no groups, and I don't use windower.

If you want groups to tackle those other things you’re gonna have to suck it up and level and gear another job because THF is pretty much shut out of 90% endgame content. And unless you’ve got a REMA for DPS jobs you’re likely gonna be going with healer or support just to participate.

a rema weapon is no longer a big hurdle. a relic weapon at the very least can be done fairly quickly, including getting it to ilvl119

having thf leveled will at least help the farming

less possibly. depends on how much you like farming dynamis with dnc trusts to proc ja weakness (i did bubu)

when i was farming i could get 7-900 currency in a good run (2 hours) and that was without including getting a 100 drop. any of those are a bonus

throw whatever farming you do otherwise (swarts in omen for example) and it shouldn’t take more than a month imo

Depending on content TH may not matter as much as you think it does. The FFXI math breaks down TH a lot more succinctly than I can, explanation starts at 2:03



Now, in addition to that, plenty of other jobs are capable of getting TH4 themselves thru gear, making THF highly situationally dependent. I’d argue that THF’s most powerful niche use is no longer TH, but enmity control thru trick attack. But again, that is super niche.

People still use THF all the time for solo farming stuff. Just not as desirable in a lot of endgame situations.

for the three most recent endgame activities (odyssey, sortie, limbus) treasure hunter is basically useless

Yeah I gotta level some more jobs for Odyssey, at least one. I'm thinking Samurai and/or Bard.
