Sounds like August update is supposed to bring new NMs to SoA zones, and SE says they are intended to be the next level of difficulty up from Ambuscade for new/returning players to tackle and gear themselves. Honestly, not a bad idea. It does feel like a huge jump in combat difficulty from Ambuscade to things like Vagary, Dynamis D, Omen, Escha NMs etc and unless you have a LS or friend group to help you thru, you do hit a kind of roadblock.

I have COR. I don't have the Mythic weapon so no group will probably touch me. I mean it's well geared otherwise. Rolls are rolls.

I think as long as you can trade in a Phobos Orb you'd be good, pretty sure these fights can be soloed. But I could be wrong! Maybe I'm dooming us all.

Don't feel bad, I blew about 30 orbs and all I got was 2 pluton box and 1 beisetsu box.

I did get 1m gil and 10 master levels though, so that's nice.

Best I got was a montiont silverpiece but I also got 99 riftborn boulders and a few pieces of Alexandrite

I got 2 heavy metal pouches so I think 25 plates total.

I got 3 pouches doing about 60 voidwatch pops during last months campaign.
The only good way to get plates is ambuscade.

Wanted to be doing more but having my dog full time while my ex is out of town has been more time-intensive than I imagined. Part of that is on me because when she asks to go on a "walk" that's just her staring at rats and occasionally killing one for 90 minutes each night I can't say no.
