Anyhow, I finished all the Ark Angel RoE quests and have those now. Way over Capacity is going to be a long grind but I'm not going to worry about it and just let points build doing normal things. I already have August because I got him with a Mog item during the Super Duper appreciation campaign. I wonder what you get instead after completing the quest line?

I was able to get Ygnas thanks to the imprimatur campaign and Mumor II from the summer event so I finally have every Trust.

I will be able to get a free upgraded iL109 Artifact armor set this month from Deeds of Heroism. I'm trying to decide between COR or DRK since I never upgraded either one.

I was on last night! Immediately disappointed that the Limbus ??? had not yet popped.

FFXIV dropped a new content patch last week so I've been mostly running that and grinding my relic weapon. But the weapon is now complete so I got time for XI again.

Free trial expansion is rolling out in September

Final Fantasy XI will finally be getting it's long awaited unlimited free trial (to match FFXIV's free trial system) in September, and it'll roll out in two waves:
- A level cap increase on the free trial, going from 50 to the original olden days level cap of 75.
- A backend server change to make the free trial unlimited in play time. It is currently limited to 14 days.

You will be limited to the following jobs in the free trial:
Starting jobs: Warrior, Monk, White Mage, Black Mage, Red Mage, Thief
Unlocks At Level 30 After Questing: Paladin, Beastmaster, Dark Knight, Bard, Ranger, Summoner* (Please note for Summoner you need expansions to get all your summons AND your AF)

Restrictions:
- Players will be restricted to the original vanilla zones ONLY. This means no Zilart, Promathia, Treasures, etc. This means you CANNOT start Rhapsodies of Vana'diel, since that requires Norg access.
- You get 3 characters on your account, for free. (For paid accounts, your main character costs the subscription fee and alts cost a small extra fee each)
- You cannot have more than 100,000 gil on you at any one time. You also cannot unlock the gil bank to store gil (since thats Adoulin)
- You cannot auction, bazaar, or trade with players. Only vendor things or farm them yourself.
- You are limited to 10 fish catches per day
- You will have access to 3 trusts at a time (NPCs to party with) and not the full 5, due to having no access to Rhapsodies.
- You cannot use /tell, /shout, /yell. You can, however, reply to someone who messaged you, or add them to your POL friends list and talk to them there. You CAN talk in /say though, or if someone adds you to a party or alliance
- You cannot form parties with other players (trusts are fine), but you can join them! You can also be passed leader and the original creator can leave, if you wish to group with other free trial players.
- You do not get access to Unity Concord, which are powerful trusts you can ally with.
