What was the story difference between celestial avatars and terrestrial ones? I know that was a storyline in one of the expansions I think.

What was the story difference between celestial avatars and terrestrial ones? I know that was a storyline in one of the expansions I think.

Celestial were created by Altana directly. Terrestial manifested on Vanadiel over time after some event happened and were born from the elemental crystals. Each one had their own little backstory in the old Vanadiel tribune iirc but I don’t think it was ever mentioned in game. The celestial and terrestrials didn’t really like each other very much but nevertheless they all team up to help the PC during the final storyline bits of Rhapsodies of Vanadiel.

Limbus: somehow more boring than kings and less rewarding, but at least it was short and easy to organize
Sea: fun if not just for the fact you could get 2 blm friends and trio anything u wanted if not outright solo it, also i was an AV fanatacist
Sky: classic ffxi through and through and tolerable, the worst aspects of sky came from having so much of it's content rendered useless so 90% of what you are farming hits the ground while everyone is going after haidate/w legs. Also frustrating once rmt finally made it to sky
Kings: kinda shit but also kinda great, ffxi in a nutshell. Also the #1 place for ls drama to take place which is what ffxi truly was about
wryms: fuckin great, spike flails and fire xtals.
Dynamis: worst event on earth if you were with a shit group, fun 'grabbing money in a wind tube to a time limit' event if you were with a good group that full cleared
ein: huge improvement over previous tiered events like limbus, headache with the feathers until they changed it
znm: ehhhhhhhh
salvage: good

enms/bahav2/ouryu were fairly good events i thought regardless of endgame elitist or casual shitter

So yeah:
Limbus: BORING
Sea: BORING unless BLM
Sky: oh yes fun if someone guided me to the right place
Kings: OH YES please gimme more, the drama is the best
Dynamis: 15/10: idk if I've ever laughed so much in my life anywhere else than during my dyna LS runs
