I got everything up and running, logged in and got the shield.

But sadly, still have the same issue I did years ago, the game has some kind of shit-fit with my DS4.rev1 controller. So until I can get my .rev0 controller refurbished, or an 8BitDo Pro2, I'm sSOL on playability.

Felt immensely overwhelmed with how much stuff I have in my inventory spread across my regular inventory, safe, storage, locker, case, and two wardrobes. It never bothered me before but after playing XIV the last four years going back to XI’s inventory jumble is going to be a challenge. I’m going to have to remake macros at some point. I was mostly just fucking around, said hi to a few people in the linkshells I had which surprisingly both were still active. Unlocked the master levels on the only job I had eligible. Finished the first branch of the new Voracious Resurgence storyline. Can definitely tell this was done in 2020 when the first cutscene is a debate on homeschooling and class racism between humes and Galka. Can also definitely tell they are taking inspiration from XIV when it comes to dialogue, animations, and campy emotes…as much as XI can do anyway.

Maybe I’ll come back tomorrow.

From what I remember it involves contacting SE support and you have to provide them with a ridiculous amount of information like government issued photo ID and other stuff. Almost like getting your drivers license reissued from the dmv.

If you ever created a Square Enix ID, you can find your PlayOnline ID in the SE account management website. If you played XI anytime after like 2013, or ever played XIV, you should have a Square Enix ID.

I'm curious how cheap it is to have bots max your JPs now. Like 2 years ago it was getting pretty low.

JPs are basically like another merit point system. Most (or all?) jobs get a lot better from JP abilities. Stuff like more Blue Magic points for BLU to create better builds, THF getting more Dual Wield and Triple Attack, WHM getting cure potency boosts, etc. Also raises different stats along the way
