I wonder how the Gred in the timeline where Abyssea never happened is doing. Would be hilarious if he was like this game became trash and boring and I found more interesting things in life.

I am open to the idea that, was good as the game was, my continued attachment is trauma driven more than actual value. I could have moved on if I retired by choice and not because Mizuki Ito raped the game and left it in a ditch with all my emotional investment

Yeah, more "Streamers" coming out the woodwork to play on this server. Literally looking up "XI" on youtube only shows this server. Clearly someone paying big bucks to advertise this garbage.

WAT, didnt they do domain invasion? Everyone complained they hated domain invasion and having to work with others to do NMs. People complained when they had to do walk of echos and work with random people. Yet this is the most fun hes had? I just honestly have been rolling my eyes at all of this, what dummies.

I played FFXI for a whole year and a half after it lost any and all value (Scars of Abyssea and onward) out of hope something fun would come down the line, and it never did.

I'm just in awe at people, people are so jaded because XI is in a rut atm with content stagnation. They released a new content and it was boring, no new expansion announced and the future is unsure. So they are all jaded and looking literally anywhere else for "fun" and they happen upon a private server that is being pumped with ad money. It boggles my mind how these people are treating this like its the second coming of christ. We already have boring ass EXP in master levels, how do they find that fun? Just because you have to team up with 5 other dummies to do it? Can just recruit people in retail lol. At least there its more fast paced and you have more than 1 spell to use. Its like they are all lying to themselves to force some enjoyment or they are swept up in the hype. The type of shit they have been saying in the comments is just so inaccurate and misinformed.

Cleave parties as noone needs to go to any of the old camps, no need for new players to experience the hardships everyone had to endure through the start of their journey. Instead they are hand-held for 2-3 hours to hit lvl 99 in a cleave party, and if that's fun for you then I sincerely pity you and your lack of adventure. Your right about 1 thing, playing private servers who dedicate to the players and fans who preferred the original state of the game "For Free!" Is definitely why the joined. After-all... Why would we "pay" for an Era of the game that we don't enjoy? Your arguement makes no sense. So I repeat for the last time. You can play on retail and enjoy content the those of us don't. But we will do the same and you should respect it. And if you can't respect it, or you can't accept it, then I'm afraid it's just your hard luck, Good luck to you.

OK, so most here know 75 era XI like the back of their hand. Does NOBODY remember how there were korrokola tunnel AOE burn parties with summoners, how people sold leech spots, how we used to sit at the same camps 24/7 level syncing. Shit, people got to 75 in qufim island towards the end! This guy is living a complete fantasy, you didnt fucking explore shit lol. Even during COP when SE kept introducing new camps, ppl refused to go outside of what was established as prime exp spots. They are acting like Abyssea invented burn parties and aoe leveling and all that crap, it just cut out the middle man and let people reach end game to actually do things faster. The fact they returned with master levels to appease these clowns and they wont ever touch it lol.
