Lots of people ditched WoW because of So I hear you want more Torghast: The Game. It came out just around the time of the FFXIV lull. And overall, as time goes out the mmo-barren gets larger and larger.


I found out about this server from the BG thread. Not any kind of crazy advertising.

Cool so they bought into the hype, why didnt they play on the other dinky private servers as they came out? That ninja money is doing its job for sure, enjoy it while it lasts lol. What a shame he could have put that to actual good use and promoted the real FFXI. They could all be doing the exact same content on retail, theres tons of mobs in Bibiki bay for these people to smack crabs for hours to get ML50 lol

I think one of the problems Draylo has here is when people say they want to relive the lvling experience, he thinks that strictly means “XP party” and has forgotten all the things that come with lvling up a character.

You keep insisting that I'm somehow on a crusade to end the server. I do not care that people play on a private server, I think its dumb overall and hurts retail but I dont care to waste my time trying to take it down. Usually if I'm bored I'll comment here and there and give my opinion but havent done any call to action for anything.

I was mainly talking about the ad push behind this server and that it is literally no different than any other private server. All these peoples saying its the best thing ever are so blinded by nostalgia and the overhyped ad campaign this guy has made up. There has also been accounts that got hacked on ffxiah and have been promoting some crypto scam, so I hope people dont use their passwords on horizon for anything else. All shady business if you ask me, but sure enjoy that buggy mess. The real XI is way better and will always be better than any 75 era private server. People have been saying XI is dead since Abyssea, literally every single year since Abyssea released theres been people saying that exact line lol.

you never played the real xi. you were never a part of endgame in any meaningful way, you never partook in all the things that made it great. it is impossible for you to have any input on what real xi is. you are floating about in a bloated single player online disaster filled with addicts of the past and casuals who aged back into it in the worst way imagineable.

Except that isn't true, I have been around since a month after NA launch. I've been in various end game HNM LS, I think the first I joined was "KirintheDestroyers" and then they ended up splitting to some offshoot shell "Effusion" or some crap, on Asura. I learned I hated HNM ages ago, the fact you are spouting Greds lines is a little scary lol. I did every single end game XI has to offer, I'm probably the biggest fan of the game possible. To me its incredible that people find retail as some *insert negative descriptor*

All through the years I've heard people wish for x or y and this dev team has eventually made it happen. Years ago wishing we could fight alongside NPCs from missions, years ago wishing we could summon things like Odin or Alexander. Years ago wishing we could deal more damage or reach lv99 and get spells like Meteor etc. All of that stuff happened, each era of XI has come with changes and really nice content. The fact yall missed out on all of that to wish to sit and camp fafnir... is unimaginable to me lol.

As kids we all used to say "ill be here until they shut down the servers", it was like some pride thing people would say. That is probably gonna be true for me.

They have been playing the other private servers though lol. They absolutely do not want to play retail because 1) they don't like it. 2) private servers offer the version of FFXI they enjoyed and it's free.
