And yeah Cerb Mantle had + Enmity, which at the time was really the only stat that mattered for a PLD. Getting some Haste/Shield Skill/HP was nice but never at the cost of losing Enmity

we were literally maxing out multiple mules with gil and transferring them to other servers to buy dynamis currency. but sure. not that this is about making gil, it's about you having no fucking clue about endgame because you were a 13 yr old who never actually participated in it beyond joining a linkshell in name then being kicked for being a shit member.

Sandworm was a favorite of mine as well, I think it was like once a week you'd get sucked inside and there'd be an even bigger Sandworm? As I recall it dropped a banging belt for melee.

sandworm was one of the absolute worst things to monopolize so i do not remember it fondly. several leagues above ixion in annoyance

lol looking back at the screenshot I found, I was pretty much a brat so the kick was warranted. That was before WOTG though

i was gonna be snarky but i only ever met ur shell after the merger which obviously was no clear measure of it at its best. i will accept ur ding

I went back for a couple months during Adoulin and TG was so far gone it would have been unfair to any hollow edifice to call it a shell of its former self. But from CoP era through mid-WotG we were #1 on Fairy. There was one summer where we got 100% of the Fafnir claims. It was rare that any shell got a king of any kind besides us. All while still doing Dynamis, Einherjar, Limbus, Nyzul, Salvage, etc etc.

I wasn't there for the decline, I think I stopped playing around 2009, but I imagine Abyssea was the beginning of the end for the shell. That and we all started playing as teenagers and were mostly in our early to mid twenties then so, everyone was leaving to go live their lives.

all i know is i saw u once at a KB camp after the merge and a few times in aht urghan. i think most endgame ls's that were incredibly dominant had hollowed out by that point. having the server merge gave us an uptick in activity again because up til then we were leaving things like ixion/etc up unkilled for weeks.

I remember when Odin was released as a summon and I asked if I could go on SMN to Einherjar just for the laugh of using Odin on Odin, ended up doing a lot more damage than anticipated and it skipped the 10% damage threshold unexpectedly and almost caused a wipe. Good times.

i miss doing einherjar and having gm friend show up in the middle of it and run around us in circles. we also almost wipe cuz we started chasing him around with odin asking him to take off invincibility
