It looks more like a joke, but I left my comment for you lol. Surely they will just delete it. It really is some kind of weird psychological reason these people are so fond of an era that was literal garbage in comparison to today and what is possible.

It was really a garbage era compared to how the game grew and expanded. The fact that classic servers tend to eschew any improvements, even not just running 25% slower. Especially when there is none of the various warps, is beyond me.

You can't really tell anything other than "it was the best" to certain delusional people though. Who think things like that HNMs were some great invention we should have preserved to this day.

You need that authentic 75-era experience. Going to norg? Spend 10 minutes waiting on the airship, then 12 minutes riding it, then another 15 minutes navigating yuhtunga and running through SSG.

Going to Nashmau for Einherjar? Fuck you. First, you better be in Whitegate...but just incase you're not, we gave you a ring that will warp you to Whitegate. And by Whitegate we mean in the middle of Wajaom Woodlands, so start hoofing it to Whitegate. Then you have to wait 10 minutes for the ferry to put you on the 12 minute ride to get to nashmau. You could take the azouph staging point...if the AC is in whitegate.

All they really have to do is remove the HPs outside battlefields to preserve the experience. There aren't much in the way of HPs in ToAU or WotG for example. That is all books and staging points, campaign warps, etc. Home points to cities is just a no-brainer. Asking players to spend an hour to run to a city nowadays is baffling.

Private server approaches are a bit like chocobos in WotG. The NPC is there. They are in the cutscenes. You just can't ride a bird foe the first however long until the obvious feature is added in for no reason other than they just did it.

Last tree needed was killed yesterday.

Horizon added an OP warp goblin in Lower Jeuno, too.


Tbh, pre-op did suck, but once I hit rank 5 it wasn’t too bad without it.

Keep in mind trees were preventing us warping to an op. You could still warp back home from an op.

Or if your LS had someone who bought that…real life thing? I don’t remember what it was. But it gave you the cape that let you warp your party to your location. That shit was cash money for Einherjar.

there were a couple times i was in an exp pt 60+ (whatever level blm gets warp 2) where they would be like “ill d2 everyone”

me: ill just deathwarp, it’s fine

wasn't there a warp scroll that cost conquest points or something? i remember using some item that got me home when i wasn't subbing blm or whm

yeah, there is. But those sweet sweet conquest points can be used for AHing items instead.

Crafters are now high enough that they're making warp cudgels. I wouldn't saw they are work buying yet, as atm they're overpriced. But they are slowly going down.

My favorite in colibri merit parties was to charm them and it fails and they charm you and your party can kill you. Lose 0 exp and a fun free warp
