i solod steam cleaner as a 75 blu with just disseverment poison and running around like a retard in the opening hallway. just had to kill the detector that kept spawning but you could one shot them easy enough with blu spells

tried the same strategy with despot and it did not work, rocketfist spam no bueno

I find it sad that both Gred and Draylo don't actually care about XI outside of their own image of and attachments to it. Abyssea could have cured cancer and Gred still say it's the worst and speak to a game that no longer exists like a griot. Draylo brags about not playing or socializing with almost anyone on a game he now bots with his Dress Up Darlingesque alts. Then rails against PSs.

It's just both incredibly narrow.

You are honestly unhinged, you literally know nothing about me. Not once did I brag about not playing or socializing, its something your warped brain invented. I still have friends I play with, I still talk to plenty of people that liked and still enjoy XI. I still play the game and what I do doesn't affect anyone else. I care about this game a lot more than most and you are literally attacking people who still care about the game. I'm going to keep my assessments of why/who/etc because they aren't going to be nice and I don't care about you in the least. I just find it incredibly odd behavior that you are choosing to single me out repeatedly like you have some obsession.

Yeah you didn't "brag" about it just like you "didnt bot" because you stood idle while your mules/party did. Only for you to rebrand that action as "skipping content". Your spinning of basic things such as "my attacking people who care about this game more than most". Which was me going after the rampant botting with extreme prejudice.
Seeing as how that action and threat to reputations was more concerning to people involved that any talk of community. Anyone who hasn't "joined a PUG in 5 years" and essentially only "socializes with their small group of friends" might not understand that. Especially not when so wrapped up in their whole song and dance or frankly what may have grown to be a rather inseparable part of their identity. That may be a bridge too far though, but it isn't like you don't lay it out there very simply with some extreme consistency. You are nothing if not consistent.

Also, you should drop the regular usage of calling others unhinged considering you have been holding on to your disappointment of the 20th anniversary, funding going to XIV, etc as if it has given you enough angst to be classified. The same sort can be said of obsession and your use. I have no obsession with you, and given your interactions over the years in the XI community I know you understand the difference. I called you out, and you labeling it an obsession. Which makes far more sense as your own way of deflecting and insulating yourself than me actually being that into you.

We could talk about the private server bit. Which oddly enough does count as an obsession, but only from you this time. However, I question if you are actually capable of handling it. I couldn't care less about my "reputation" in a 20yr old game. If I did, I would probably not be posting on my main account and would have a billion sock accounts like some people. PUG was never really a thing in XI's life, only during voidwatch era really. Everyone did things in linkshells and small groups (especially post abyssea.) So just because I don't participate with random people doesn't mean anythning.

I really don't get it, so because I am annoyed with the 20th anniversary fail and XIV, that can mean I'm obessed? Do you see me name dropping people or following them in-game to take screenshots of them to post on various forums? I would classify that as unhinged in all honesty. Caring that much about botting in a 20 year old game, it doesn't even affect other players in the least. I could be soloing with trusts, so I fail to see what difference multiple characters make.

No obsession, it was mentioned to me by someone who wanted to point out your hypocrisy. It's incredible you go on a huge crusade against an issue that does not even impact FFXI's health at all, and then later go to a private server that is literally leeching assets from the main game so people can play for free. I'm at least paying multiple subs which keep the game alive, those private people don't pay shit. In fact they are literally converting anyone interested in XI over to private servers, so they are in fact hurting it. Yet there you are supporting it and commending them on a job well done. Hypocrite, which isn't surprising considering you said that threads purpose was to shame players so others wouldn't play with them, only later to play with someone on your own list in a PUG.

I don't see me having multiple characters as a service, its just a benefit that is helping the game. I see literally 0 benefit in playing and supporting a private server, big difference if you ask me. In the end its up to SE to police their own game, not you. It takes some weird logic to somehow think you are benefitting the game by doing what you did. The fact you wrote me on that list doesn't even bother me, its that after all the crazies I've dealt with in this game and when we chatted and got along I thought oh he seems cool despite all the hate he gets. Only later for you to do this is so weird to me, you honestly have benefitted nobody, only isolated yourself further from people who do really care about the game.

Because that's how they are. Still partly living in an era of forum interaction where paroozing Funnyjunk.com and watching "Which Backstreet Boy is Gay" is so hilarious. They have to either pick up their landline and call their friend's house, ask their mom if "Mike is home", to finally ask if they saw it, or send them a message on ICQ/AIM saying "LMFAOROFL". Then again, some of these people come off more like the Yahoo Instant Messenger sort of bunch.
It was cool seeing Jay and Silent Bob hanging outside the Quick Stop in Red Bank, but it's been 30 years already, grow up people.

That being said, I scrolled bottom to top, and didn't read that wall from you. I don't trust that you will actually have the will or even the capacity to move from your entrenched world view on XI, excuse making, etc to merit continuing the conversation, but I'll double check out of the benefit of the doubt.

You claimed "like countless rdm didn't DOT kite like 90%of the endgame to death"

The only "endgame" that RDM could solo was worthless. Maybe you could do Genbu, but you couldn't do the rest of Sky. You probably could only do 1-2 Jailers that way. You wouldn't make your money back on Dynamis that way, but I guess you could technically at least kill a few mobs. You couldn't do any King or Grand Wyrm that way. You couldn't do Einherjar that way. You couldn't do Limbus that way. Couldn't do the Beastmen Kings that way. Couldn't do Sandworm or Ixion that way.

And I hated RDM solo'ing all the way back then anyway. The beauty of HNMLS was forcing people to compete through guilds. It REQUIRES people to be cogs in the machine. RDMs trying to solo everything took away useful dispel and mana batteries.

Well this is all nonsense as these are the things I personally soloed as RDM in the 75 era off the top of my head:

Sky - Genbu, Seiryu, Suzaku, Zipcana, Olla Grande, Steam Cleaner, Brigandish Blade, Faust, Despot, and Ullikummi (the only sky mobs I personally couldn't solo were: Kirin, Byakko, & Mother Globe)
Sea - all normal mobs for the HQ organs, all Ix'Aerns for the deeds & more importantly magic capes, Jailer of Temperance (which dropped the sword torque) & Jailer of Fortitude
Limbus - I forget which Limbus' I used to farm solo but there were about 3 of them that even a bad RDM could easily get through 3/4s of the way solo, which was still worth it, and a good RDM could solo fully
NMs: Behemoth, Adamantoise, Charybdis, Gration, Bomb Queen, Ose, Ancient Goobbue, Bune, Ungur, Guivre, Ash Dragon, & Voluptuous Vivian just off the top of my head
BCNMs/ENMs: There were a tons of these any RDM could solo. Whatever ENM had the antlions and dropped Haguns was fully soloable as RDM and worth huge cash

You can also list god knows how many missions and quests that most everyone else had to do in groups but I could solo.
I quit the week Salvage came out so I can't comment on that, Einherjar, or whatever else that came out after I quit.

RDM was a broken class when I played.

If you thought otherwise, frankly, you simply didn't know what we were actually out accomplishing all by our lonesome.
