I was just thinking about how much I actually miss the granular stats in XI. I don't think I've seen them repeated in any other game.

Like I remember a PLD in my shell camping some random lizard NM because it dropped a back piece with the highest Earth resistance in that slot. It was useless in every other scenario but he wanted it to macro in for the 2 seconds he would be tanking Ouryu's breath attack. I enjoyed that.

The mobile gacha game Granblue Fantasy gives me that feeling. Small upgrades combined together to just barely nuke a boss doing a hyper specific setup that is faster than a much easier to perform, but slower, setup.
