Yeah you hear a mean growl/snarl or some kind, but doesn't Venom belong to Sony? Maybe the loophole is that it's not Tom Hardy's Venom. I'll have to look at that Funko pop again cuz it really looks like Tobey's black suit, especially with the thick grey lines I saw.

Edit: it has gold trim so maybe that's why they stood out more to me. Still, Thomas Haden Church killed it as Sandman so I'm glad to see him back.

The snarl was Lizard. The actor from Amazing Spider-Man was listed in a number of reports previously. There were also rumors of Topher Grace at one point so if there is a Venom sighting it would probably be his.

My wife didn't really care for the trailer but she's definitely more of a normie in terms of comic book knowledge. She's seen the old spiderman movies but doesn't really remember them. So for her it was like 'Cool, who are these people and why do I care?'

My assumption is it's some kind of rubber suit meant to help with who/whatever is making the lightning (Electro?). You see him in the same suit later on during the night scene with the lightning strikes.

The suit is a dumb thing to focus on, but that could be the case. When you first see the yellow lightning, you see a Daily Bugle news van, but the MCU Daily Bugle is just a pod cast IIRC.

I'm thinking there's some Hulk/Hulkbuster in Infinity War switcharoos in the trailer.

Been saying this since seeing Far From Home in the theater! From what I remember, Friday was incredibly vague in her wording when she said what Peter interpreted as "he ded". It was something like "I don't detect any signs of life".

There is still a lot of talk about this because he is acting out of character. I’ve heard theories of a spell casted clone, a Skrull, and another sorcerer impersonating him. Whatever it may be it is a little suspect for him acting the way he was.
