I thought about it about and I don't really understand why they decided to keep this a secret. Putting them in the trailer like all standing together with Tom at the very last second would have generated soooo much more hype. More hype, more ticket sales, etc.

My guess is that they're looking for another "Endgame portals" moment, and I can't really blame them. It's ok if reddit / 4chan users know, the fact that there isn't an "official" confirmation matters.

Well, there has also been rumors that they're doing reshoots to add more cameos, but not sure if that's for Spider-Man, it might have been for Dr. Strange 2.

Saw the trailer for this before Ghostbusters today and the phantom punch to Lizard was totally edited out of the trailer there. So either it was left in intentionally for the initial release or someone realized they screwed up and fixed it later.
