If we want to approach it purely economically, Bryce Harper is another economist who falls down on exactly the opposite side of the fence as Sowell and makes the purely economic argument that we sacrifice productivity by enforcing draconian immigration rules. The greater point, though, is that neither are qualified simply based on their own credentials to talk about political, social, or legal issues underlying immigration, or, likely, even economics.

Coal. 750+ g/kwh (median of 850 g/kwh). Technologies under development (such as carbon capture) may reduce this to approx. 100-250g/kwh.

I don't understand, Sowell goes out of his way to repeatedly point out that isolated societies stagnate, i don't know who Bryce Harper is but it sounds like it's a similar point.

My understanding is that it's sort of a catchphrase or a euphemism to describe inequality (economic) between races and sexes. So when a corporate claims diversity is our strength as a company policy it seeks to hire more women/minorities into top positions.
