The facts as reported from eye witnesses:

Republicans led by Matt Gaetz approached the doors chanting "let us in."

Republicans opened the doors with phones out to proceedings held in a chamber meant specifically to protect the privacy of witnesses testifying before Congress.

Democrats mulled having them arrested but decided not to as they feared that was what Republicans were hoping for.

The proceedings were delayed for 5 hours because of the intrusion.

Welcome to 2019, when Republicans storm private chambers because committees that they have members on are interviewing a witness to a corruption scheme that was laid out in detail the previous day and they wanted to try and seize control of the narrative.
