Remember when you said accusations of quid pro quo was 1 person's word against 3?
Well, now it's two v. two.

(note that Sondland isn't a lifer bureaucrat or an Obama appointee - his first position in government was being hand-picked by Trump)

Sondland got caught lying, because all the testimonies have been behind closed doors. Now, he knows he got caught, and is changing tunes real quick cause he disnt donate 1million for an ambassador position just to get hauled to jail.

I honestly don't know how this Ukraine ride can get any worse but somehow it does.
Two guys are now saying "I think it's inappropriate" and "could harm national security".
Riveting shit man. You gottem.
But saying those same things in regards to Obama, Hillary, or Biden doing "things" makes it that much more true though?
You talking about Benghazi and guns that ended up over the boarder?
Man, I remember those hearings, I remember reading about them. Democrats were never prevented from calling their own witnesses or even questioning witnesses. Schiff is doing that, that's why repubs are so upset. They think this deposition is designed to smear Trump in the media. These are suppose to be behind closed doors, but all these leaks certainly prove that point.
You guys are all hyped up by this, not unlike what happened with Mueller. But there are facts that fundamentally favor Trump. Fact: Ukraine president and Trump both claimed no quid quo pro. Fact: Transcript doesn't show any quid quo pro. (despite theatrics from the dems) Fact: Ukrainians did not know at the time of the call that their funding was on hold. Fact: Ukrainians got their aid, took no action to date to investigate Bidens.
Fact: Whistle blower complaint was based on by more then half dozen officials who were party to the call, so far we have heard from who was actually on the call and one who had direct knowledge - both parties voiced their suspicions and concerns, but non of them offered any substantive proof of quid quo pro. Those 4 facts remain, as far as we know, shit, most of this is behind closed doors. I don't know how people on these forums are so convinced Trump is guilty of this, it's beyond me honestly. edit: I'm lying, it's full on TDS. Like legit grade, seek counseling peeps.
If you want an example of what investigations look like that are not pure smear jobs, look at what Durham is doing. Nary a peep nor a leek, no media smear jobs.
I'm just gonna go ahead and mute guartz and feel better about my informed life
the impeachment trial hasn't started yet. it won't happen until the house votes for formal articles of impeachment, which will happen when their investigation is over. this is more like a grand jury, where no, the defense doesn't really call witnesses.
the actual trial is in the senate, which is when the white house will have the chance to call witnesses.
i'm pretty sure this has been spelled out explicitly before.
oh, for sure. i'm morbidly curious how far this goes. i still dont' think he's going to be convicted, not with republicans in the senate majority. but i'd like to see them squirm nonetheless.
I'd actually want to see Guartz respond to this without using any whataboutism.
