Well I'm reading the whole thing, got to page 100 so far. I've read the additional testimony and just got really into it. Pretty interesting perspective from the actual testimonies vs what you get from the media on both sides. Not sure yet if this is the slam dunk you guys are thinking it is. Clearly having the actual transcripts is somewhat a game changer in the opinions. I mean, not for you guys, you all already made up your minds. I mean for me.

It reveals so far, that trump was somewhat hands off the entire thing - Sondland wasn't appointed by Trump, every contact he had with trump was abrupt either "no quid quo pro" or "talk to rudi" Secretary Perry and Rudi were driving the show. It reveals that trump didn't trust Ukraine at all, his reasoning was that they corrupt and tried to set him up in 2016.

You are right though, in his latest testimony update Sondland in no unclear terms said that "..Resumption of US aid would not occur until Ukraine provided public anti-corruption statement" Still there is the thing.. you know, Ukraine got the aid and didn't make the public statement. Maybe there was another deal made? I don't know yet. So far it's looking like at best there was a bluff or at worst an attempt at quid quo pro. All Perry has to do is just say, eh we tried to bluff and the entire investigation falls on it's face. That doesn't matter though, Trump is gonna get killed in the media over this because nobody is gonna read this shit.

Pretty clear everyone involved in the diplomatic sphere didn't want to hold up aid at all and were very upset at the president for doing it.

So I got this nagging feelings reading Sondlands testimony that he is definitely hiding something. He was asked about a dozen times if he was aware that Rudi was out there making statements about investigating Trump - and Sondland denied ever hearing about it. Rudi was all over news and twitter talking about how he was digging in Ukraine to help Trump for like a solid 2 weeks. It's almost as if they were begging for this investigation/impeachment.

Anyway, I understand more transcripts were made public? Anybody got Volkers link?

I guess I should have clarified, he wasn't appointed by Trump to be Ukraine special envoy. As per Sondland's testimony. Since this impeachment involved Ukraine I thought it was a given.

edit: Actually, revealing the name is perfectly legal but would carry political repercussions if done... which is likely why they haven't done it.
