ah your missing a few key things. Shifty is denying witness requests, lawyers for witnesses and blocks certain questions. It's to a point that senate is considering calling it's own witnesses if it reaches them, instead of relying on depositions. Also if the name of the leaked whistleblower is accurate, then the investigation was a coordinated effort by dnc operatives not organic whistleblower complaint. Which is supported by the fact that the whistleblower met with schiff and whistleblower rules changing to accept secondhand information weeks before the complaint. Combine that with the lack of "firsthand" accounts from the witnesses that did testify, you can be reasonable and understand why republicans are saying this is just a attempt by DNC to smear Trump in the media before the election and that Schiff's actions are evident that he isn't interested in truth.

oh and there is also good reason to investigate Biden and his son. Bursima is notoriously corrupt organization. As to why Trump doesn't trust Ukraine, it's because Ukraine was involved in 2016 spying on his campaign. Which might I add, there is an active criminal investigation from DoJ.

Pretty loaded question Anda, Trump has departed from washington status quo so far I'm pretty sure everything he does is considered warranting investigation. I think he understand that he was under "investigation" from the moment he took office, the man and his aids have been walking on eggshells due to the resentment he garners from his own government. I don't think he was given a chance to even commit "soft corruption". I will admit I enjoy the scrutiny he receives, despite himself he is the most transparent president to date.

He can't receive anything of value from any foreign government, from the federal government beyond his salary, or from any state governments. Any hotel room at his properties booked, any meal at his properties purchased, anything of value at all that is income to Trump from those entities is an illegal emolument, and those things are happening all the time.

Beyond that, to your "soft corruption" point, any company or individual with business in front of the administration booking these hotel rooms / meals / etc is obvious "soft corruption" and it is also occurring constantly.
