Trump to re-instate tariffs of 25% against Brazil & Argentina for having weak currencies.
And the markets the moment Trump announced it;
![]()
It's only against brown people...not like they matter or anything !
I was just listening to a report yesterday about how all the tariffs leveled so far have amounted to nothing more than taxes on American consumers because producers just pass costs along. Not to mention American manufacturers who need foreign-made materials are increasingly moving overseas in response.

Yeah my immediate family (Father, Mother and Sister) all think these Tariffs will rake in so much money for the US. Time and time again I have tried explaining to them that all that will happen is Businesses will pass it along to the consumer as the business will not want to lose out on any profit. They all think I am a liberal jackass and know nothing of economics.
I work for one of the largest ISPs in the nation. If we get a price increase on channels from the studios themselves...we don't eat that price increase, we pass that shit along.
The Navy gave medals of achievement to the prosecutors in the Eddie Gallagher case, Trump has ordered the Navy to strip them.

If Wal-Mart raised the wages of every minimum wage employee to $15 an hour and passed 100% of the cost on to the consumer, shoppers would spend an average of $1.75 more a year.

Not doubting you, but just curious, how did you work this out? I found the number of weekly customers, but wouldn't you need to know the number of unique, annual customers to get this? Also the number of employees that would be affected by such a raise?
But if anything, they'll likely raise prices even more, blame it all on the wage increases, and bank the extra profits.
About 6 years ago I had do a research report on this for Congress, CRS had most of the numbers I needed.

Yeah, it's always fun trying to talk to those who think milk will suddenly be $8+ a gallon.

Trump has denied Bloomberg News press credentials now that Bloomberg has entered the race.
Wow...such a toddler move
So I am not surprised he did this.
If it wasn't for how Trump has openly held grudges with people who have been in some shape/way adversarial I would have actually agreed with the decision.
Also if his administration didn't literally have a revolving door policy with Fox News.
An Economist/YouGov poll shows that 53% of Republicans believe that Trump is a better president than Lincoln. Among Democrats, 94% prefer Lincoln to the Donald.
Most puzzling: 10% of black voters think Trump is better. This is possibly the 10% that have been tricked by the narrative about how the Republicans freed the slaves so the Democrats must be the racists.
