Why?

First off, he's wrong about there being "massive corruption" in Puerto Rico in relation to relief aid so already not off to a good start, second he says exactly what news outlets are reporting that he said.

His assertion about "lethal aid" also makes zero sense because of course they get weapons support from us and other kinds of aid from Europe - who in Europe, in fact what combination of European countries could provide anything close to the amount of military support that we do? Not even getting into the huge amount of interest the U.S. has put into doing just that to combat Russian influence in the region for the last 70 years.

And then he says, yes, the DNC server was part of the reason, which is a conspiracy theory that would only be brought up because it plays to Trump's base and the whole "oh it was to investigate corruption" ridiculousness.
