most companies don't give their rank and file paid leave when there's incontrovertible evidence of wrong-doing

oh word you murdered someone on camera? have a vacation
Workers comp is a bit different than paid administrative leave. That's the difference. The county is pretty much stuck waiting on the federal lawsuit, which I'm pretty confident he's going to lose, then they can go after him for a false workers comp claim. That's why they aren't saying anything. If they say anything negative now, he could turn around and sue the county and waste even more tax dollars.
Sad thing is all he had to do was go my bad, apologize, and this would have been done and over with, but he's decided to double and triple down. So now it's like well shit, we have to wait for him to finish his bullshit lawsuit, find out if by some miracle he somehow wins, because then the Raps president would have to pay the workers compensation benefits, and then if he loses and it's proven in court, which should be pretty easy and cut and dry that he didn't suffer any injuries and lied, they can then go after him.
Where is that? I haven't seen anything from them in the news unless that came in the last two hours. Cause that's almost verbatim from when the first bits of video came out back in February
Closest I found was a statement stating they were going to let the process develop in court. Nothing about outright supporting/standing by him by the official spokesman. That was 2hrs ago on ktvu.com
If I'm wrong, I'm wrong on the official end. But talking and what I hear in unofficial chatter, especially by rank and file is the exact opposite, but they can't say that under any sort of official channel or statement.
Basically unless it's from the Sheriff itself, or Sgt. ray Kelly who is the media spokesman, it shouldn't be considered an official statement.

Lol
Except for I can't find a single thing outside of that one tweet. Multiple local news sources, their own twitter, facebook, etc not a single blurb outside of one official statement saying they are going to let the courts handle it.
Don't know how much more clear that can get.

Here's the one official statement, saying there are other angles and additional footage not released, and will let it play out in court. Nothing about standing by him, not like they can say otherwise with now a lawsuit, counter lawsuit, and workers comp all in play. And yes, in siding with the raptors president. Strickland is a fucking moron, pissed a lot of rank and file people off, and has come out looking like shit on this and needs to go away.
Sheriff's spokesman Sgt. Ray Kelly said in a statement: "A snippet of video was released by attorneys. It does not depict the entire incident in detail. There are different angles and high definition images that tell the complete story. There seems to be a rush to judgment before all the facts are in. This matter needs to be resolved before the court with facts and evidence. Not in the media."

thank you for your contributions to this thread

Between the Mavs win and the Blazers win, I'm all for what's happening in the west right now. Not to forget the Magic win. All this shit is amazing
Well the same can be flipped on you. I made a comment, I asked for a source when the comment I made was disputed, and all that you brought was one canadian reporter from a local news saying one thing when everything else is saying another.
I get it, ACAB and all that shit. Like I've said before I'm not defending strickland and all I can say are rumblings from the people I've worked with there. It doesn't help his doubling and tripling down puts his employer in a really awkward spot as anything negative said can potentially be used against him in a grievance, especially with workers comp so they are playing it safe by saying hey let the courts decide
I'd be absolutely shocked if he loses these court cases, gets proven his injuries were false and they don't go after him to recoup the workers comp money, especially when it was revealed before he got hired he pled no contest to insurance fraud which got him declined from another agency.

I posted a tweet. You wanted a source, I posted the tweet the first tweet was based on.
If I can be honest, I'm not even reading your big posts. 280 characters or less life.
So like, you guys realize that they have to say that because they are being sued and can't admit to being wrong.
