If its a fusion of 2/3 and what worked in both games, its a success. Both games were fun for their own reasons, and there's room to take from both. From what I saw watching my GF play, the armor looks fantastic in the game; 2 hours into the game, she was wearing sick barb full plate that looked like end-game gear. With the lovely Blizzard transmog system, shit looks good at least from that end.

I've never played Necro in any of the Diablo games, but GOT DAMN does the character look amazing in this game's armor sets.

Yeah, I don't see the monetization as a bad thing at all. So long as its not P2W items, put as many skins as you want in a shop and keep them coming.

I'm sure at some point I'd want a shop skin, but I know that I'd be satisfied with what's currently in-game for awhile so long as they release it all at once and don't hold back the assets like some MMOs used to do in the 2000's. Shit was annoying to play a beta test and have a great outfit, only to find out that it wouldn't come out until a fucking expansion later.

Who had the bright idea to let content creators put out Tier100 endgame videos prior to launch? Looks like trash, identical to Diablo 3 with damage numbers already cracking into the billions. Yikes.

Don't even worry about it. There's already a day one patch with more balance changes, so what they showed may be irrelevant in three days

cash shop is set up as you'd expect btw. need to buy funny money to get anything, and there's first time bonuses that make it all add up perfectly for an item (i.e. there's a 2500+300 pack which lets you buy a 2800 skin). After that first time bonus though, you need to buy at least two packs to have enough to buy the same skin and youll be left with just enough shekels to never be able to afford anything with ever again
